Japan raises overall view on economy for first time in three months

In its latest assessment for the month of July, the Japanese government upgraded its view on the economy – noting that „the economy is picking up gently” and is signaling a broader recovery in activity as the effects of the pandemic fade.

Of note, the government raised its view on private consumption and employment conditions, as well as imports – reflecting an improvement in domestic demand conditions.
