The corporation clarified that for several months the government of the Tula region had been looking for a new investor after the decision of LLC McCain Foods Rus to suspend the construction of the plant.
In May 2021, McCain Foods Rus LLC began construction of a potato processing plant, becoming the first foreign resident in the Uzlovaya SEZ in the Tula Region. The agreement on the construction of the processing complex was signed in 2020. It was planned to invest 12.7 billion rubles in the project. It was planned to complete the construction of the plant in 2022.
